Welcome to the beautiful city of Ponta Delgada! This walking tour will take you through the charming streets and historical landmarks of this coastal gem on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. 

Begin your journey at the iconic Portas da Cidade, the three arches are one of the most recognizable symbols of the city. Take some photos and get introduced to the Azores, with a brief summary of their history and culture. Then, explore the historical downtown and the coastline. As you walk, you'll pass charming buildings adorned with beautiful Portuguese tiles, enjoying the quiet Sunday atmosphere of the city.

Visit a tea house to learn about the oldest tea plantations of Europe, while sipping freshly brewed organic tea and sampling different foods.
 
Head to the St. Andrew nunnery: step back in time unravelling fascinating stories, intricate carvings and ancient symbols. Afterwards, you'll learn about the "Portuguese house" a unique architectural movement. Resume your walk visiting a serene garden filled with lush greenery, exotic plants, and decorative fountains.

Afterwards, enjoy an amazing lunch catered and hosted by Hungry Whales. You might be challenged to cook on your own lava stone!
